whats sort of supprt is that, besides pretty bad, internal data files, all files are internal data files in some way shape or form, the questionis what are the vrd files, what do they do and why are they there????? it is only recording audio, why do we need these extra files.

Hi there,

Internal to VRS, they hold information that VRS uses when saving the recording and when viewing and searching in the find and play window.

Your dial/data is contained in this file also. For the best use of your system, I recommend keeping them.

They are internal data files. Just ignore them.

We use VRS for recording our VHF radio traffic, we have it set to record to a network server so that others thru out out the facility can go back and listen to recordings. Since we use voice activation we end up with about 8000 .wav files and 8000 .vrd files per month. This monthly file is very slow to open because of the number of files. We do not use the vrd files, is there any way to prevent them from being written to the folder? This would speed up being able to go back and play recrdings.

Thank you
