Spike Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 I am running VP 8.40 on a 2015 MacBook (10.14.4 / 1.1GHz Intel Core M / 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 / Intel HD Graphics 5300 1536 MB). The project loads very quickly and preview does not show 'buffering' message but the preview is consistently jerky - almost like it is only playing half the frames per second. It keeps the speed of the sequence overall and the audio is not laggy but the jerkiness of the playback makes the rhythm of editing tricky. I can't see how to change the preview settings as suggested in similar problems with earlier versions, just the aspect ratio. Any help greatly appreciated! borate Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 Preview settings are based on the monitor now, but for the Widescreen A/R choices, which will also affect export. Be sure to let the project fully cache prior to editing (completed green line above most tracks). If that's not done playback may jerk or not play at all.
