NeilR
excuse my ignorance as I feel I should know this but, what does the Mp3 Patent License Fees select for legal use of joint stereo or low bitrate under 32kbps mp3 mode addon do? For that what is the 'AMR Encoder - Patent License Fees for legal AMR encoding' add on as well? what are these items/terms and do I need them? nchBen
Hi NeilR, There are some aspects of the mp3 standard which are still under patent and must be licenced. Joint stereo and low bit rate support fall in this category. Joint stereo can provide a smaller file for the same bit rate - especially on stereo files with very similar left and right channels. Low bitrate support is useful if you have extremely tight storage requirements. Regards, Ben
