how do i record the audio from logic pro X whilst recording its visual output?

as the title says............

visual output is recorded fine, but no logic audio.

also the audio options are different for mac than pc. can't seem to link them up.

using an apogee duet i/o.

could this be an apple copyright problem?

i know i can always add stereo audio to the video in post using FCP. but it seems the long way around this problem.
