edesigns
02/16/05 I have owned a Diasonic DDR-3000R (128Mb) Voice Recorder for about 1-1/2yrs. I find it is a fine product, however, I would like to convert the .DVF files to .MP3 files. I have been looking for a method of converting the Diasonic .DVF files to .MP3 files and have not had any success finding help. Do you have any information that could help me solve this problem? I would appreciate anything you could provide. Thanks. nchtj
download the sony plugin from here: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-download...95&PASSVAL2=SMB install it, restart your computer. Now simply load the dvf file in switch and convert it as per normal.
Guest Guest_edesigns_*
02/18/05 nchtj, I have downloaded the file twice and installed it successfully. However, when I run NCH Switch, it continues to give me the following error message: > Cannot open the file "...xxx.DVF" because the codec is not installed. Please download the Sony codec following the links from www.nch.au/scribe/sony.html. > The Sony file I downloaded was: PLAYERPLUGINSETUP.EXE Ver. 1.24, 1.10 MB, Last Modified: 5/31/2004. What should be done now?? I would be happy to send you a short .DVF file for you to try, if you would like. I still don't know what the problem is. I am running the Win 98 OS, 512 Mb RAM. When I try playing the .DVF file on Windows Media Player 9, it says the format is not supported. Any other suggestions? edesigns ------------------------------------------- download the sony plugin from here: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-download...95&PASSVAL2=SMB install it, restart your computer. nchtj
its possible there are issues with the plugin and Win98 that we don't know about. We are happy to accept sample files to try anyway, so if is ok then please send me your dvf file to [] and I will see if I can play it or not. nchtj
unfortunately some of the underlying issues are due to the sony plugin not supporting every recorder out there. I would ask if you first confirm with sony that your recorder is supported by the latest version of the sony plugin. as a general rule, if it doesn't play in media player, you won't be able to get anything else to play it, because its the plugin that is the issue not the player. I have installed, uninstalled x3, removed from the registry, reinstalled, tried an updated plugin (1.29) still no go!! unfortunately some of the underlying issues are due to the sony plugin not supporting every recorder out there.
