songs not separated

A lot of my files are already mp3, some are iTunes mp3. I convert to mp3, 128 bitrate for the best play in my car player.

The problem is that whatever is converted ends up as one block of music. The individual songs are not recognized as such; when I press the button to skip whatever song is up to go the next one the whole block of music starts over again. I can navigate to individual folders but whatever contents are in it are read as a solid block of music and not as individual tracks.

Any ideas? If you can help, let me thank you in advance.

Hi triphop,

Would this issue you are reporting happen before you convert the songs when you play them using your computer's media player?  Could you tell us if you are loading folders or files you have in your computer or are you loading playlists? You may also try converting individual files to confirm if the issue persist.  Also, when you transfer the converted files to your car player, are you transferring the songs using a mass storage device, a disc or removable drive?
