Audio out of sync with video in registered version

I've been using the free version of Videopad for a few days and every time I edited the video I'm trying to create the audio was out of sync with the video.  I thought it was just because I was using the free version.  On Gizmo's Freeware site they say under Pros & Cons: "The difference between free and unpaid version is unclear. The program might be unstable, according to user comments."  This morning I bought the full version and I was surprised that the exact same thing happened in the registered version.  Why the hell do I need to screw around editing the audio to get it in sync with the video if I've paid for the full version?  Isn't that the job of the developers?  All I did was split the file at two points and delete the piece of video I didn't want, expecting that both the exact same pieces of video and audio would removed so that the clip would flow smoothly from one side of the edit to the other.  This is video editing 101.  Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed as I'm trying to put together a public presentation I have to give in a few a days and I have better things to do with my time.

Is the material LINKED audio and video or has the audio track been added independently and synchronized?

If the former, a right-click|DELETE (ripple) should affect both A/V tracks equally.

If the latter, select both audio and video clips and right-click|GROUP them.  That should prevent the issue.

The difference in this case between the free (trial) and licensed version is irrelevant.

If no joy, please share the project per the "Tips for getting help..." post near the top of this forum.  Someone will take a look.

Hi and thanks for the response.  I got pretty excited when I read it as it sounded like a plausible solution but I reconstructed the clip using Delete (ripple) and ended up with the exact same result, ie. out of sync audio that screws up the whole project.  The displacement is almost exactly the same as my previous efforts.  The material is linked audio and video, not independently added.  This means I've tried both ways, with just Delete and Delete (ripple) and have gotten the exact same result.  There must surely be people out there using Videopad to make videos with synced audio and video so I have no idea where to go now.  Sorry, I couldn't see the "Tips for getting help.." link you referred to.
