Burst of Speed

For a fast forward, burst of speed effect--is this something that can be done in Videopad. I am unable to find any tutorials about it. Here is a clip about what I am talking about:

I found the info about keyframing. However, I am having trouble locating anything about how to get the burst fast-forward effect through keyframing. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Currently the VP effects do not have a "Speed Change"  effect option but the suggestion has been put forward.

You can apply a change of speed to a clip as a whole, with or without a change in sound pitch but the applied change will be fixed for the whole of the clip. There is no provision in VP (AFAIK) to vary the speed gradually within a clip using keyframes. It means that if you want to  show acceleration or deceleration throughout a clip you would have to split it into numerous small segments and apply increasing (or decreasing) speed values to each segment.

Noting the lack of that feature, Nat is right on for his suggestion to split a clip.

Though it is not the effect that you have in mind, the speed of effect action (motion, positioning, etc.) is influenced by the distance between keyframes.  The closer to one another they are the faster the change.  Experiment.
