"in and out points" on text boxes

hi, I do not have an "out point" on my text boxes at the end of my sequence, so it does not export. thank you

Titles (text boxes) placed on the timeline always have IN and OUT points, automatically, and they export fine here.

hi thanks, i did not see  tips for getting help on this forum, so how do I attach a word doc if that is an okay form.

You cannot attach it, but you can upload the file to a server, then copy (share) the link to that file here.  Photos, videos, text files - makes no difference.

i don't know how to do that. I share files on "we transfer" but that is different I think than what you are talking about. please give me some names of a server, thanks

Sounds as if a screenshot of the VP desktop would demonstrate the issue.

Save it to a file, perhaps using your photo application.  To take a screenshot in Windows, press the Windows key and the HOME key simultaneously.  Paste it into the photo program with <ctrl-V> or use the EDIT menu|PASTE choice.  Give the file a name and save it.

Now upload that file to DropBox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, IMGUR or the like.  They're all free.  Just sign up.  Copy (share or "get a link") and paste that link into a post here.

Once the image is uploaded to DRIVE,  right-click it there and GET SHAREABLE LINK.  Post that link here.

As mentioned in the last post, you have to make the file shareable.  The link that you provided only opens Google Drive;  it doesn't point to your specific file.

You have inadvertently trimmed the sequence.  The overlaid (dark) portion won't export.

Click the chevron at the far left of the bin tabs (bin window, top-left) to reveal the SEQUENCE tab.

Click on it.

Under the preview window drag the scrubber (the red line) all the way to the right.

Click the ] bracket, to set that as the out point.

The overlay should vanish.

In my version of VP6.30.....

Only video clips show the red and blue  IN/OUT markers since they inherently of a fixed duration and can are trimmed in the Clip Preview window or  by moving the ends along the timeline. They can also be truncated from their start point by altering their duration in Storyboard mode.

Images and text images on the other hand having a variable duration (initially set under option) do not show IN/OUT points.(Red and Blue markers) in the clip preview screen.  They are usually adjusted in duration  by dragging the ends along the timeline or, if you have placed them on Video track 1 changing their duration in Storyboard mode. Simple Text images and Title images are similar.
