sync tracks when recording on Mixpad

Good morning - newbie on here, and to Mixpad, so please excuse me if the answer to my query is glaringly obvious to seasoned users!

I've been trying to record multiple tracks using Mixpad. First I recorded the keyboard line, played it back while I recorded the first vocal part but on play back of both the tracks are out of time, the second one being slightly later than the first. As an experiment I recorded two further harmony lines and each of them came in slightly later than the previous. I know I can snip a bit from the start of each track to line them up to some extent but it's never going to be accurate.

What am I missing?
