Cannot set lower default speed

Hello, I am using Express Scribe with hot keys and not a foot pedal. My current dictator talks very fast and I am transcribing at half speed, however, as soon as I press F10 to stop the recording, the speed jumps back to the default 100% setting and I have to adjust it every time manually. How can I get it to play a file at half speed or any other lower speed throughout a tape and not have it revert back to 100% speed every time I press F10 and F4?  Many thanks, Sharon
