rorcutt
Hi guys, I'm a noob for sure, but am trying to record my drums straight from PA to laptop but keep getting clipping, muddied sound. I have a nice set of drum mics but Im wondering what im doing wrong within the interface of nch. Lowered volumes on PA and laptop but am still getting a muddy, clipping sound. Keep in mind, I'm a noob to all of this, thx! I dont have the money right now to buy an extra mic input, such as presonus or tascam but am trying a relativeley easy way to record my drums to upload to friends so theycan work with it... elk
Hello, In this case, what you can try in WavePad is this: go to Options > Recording tab > Open Windows Record Mixer > from the list, select the device you are using to record > click Properties > click on Levels tab > adjust the levels from there > OK > OK > OK to save the changes. If you still have issues, you may use the Compress feature in WavePad to see if it makes any difference. (Levels menu > Compress). Regards.
