JohanDenRidder
Hi, new user here. I searched everywhere but couldn't find it... I have still pictures on the time line. When adding a video effect on a photo, like PAN&ZOOM, the effect will take as long as the clip takes. What I am trying to achieve is the zoom effect to take 3 seconds, while the clip is shown for 6 seconds. Is that doable? Kind regards, Johan
borate
Split out the section of the clip where the pan/zoom is to be applied - in essence creating a new clip within the original clip. i.e.: Split where the effect is to begin and split where it will end. Select this new clip, then apply the effect.
JohanDenRidder
Thanks, At the end of the PAN&ZOOM effect the view is zoomed in on the subject. I want to hold on to that view for a few seconds, before the next clip is shown. If I get it right, your solution would only work at the start of the effect, not at the end? borate
There are a number of ways to accomplish that. Try applying pan and zoom effects independently. Then use the animation editor to set IN/OUT keyframes within the clip; no need for splits. In this example the action begins and ends with the first and last ZOOM and POSITION keyframes respectively. The result. Note the freeze at both beginning and end of this single clip. Positioning here was for illustration only.
JohanDenRidder
Thanks, this does exactly what I was looking for. Johan
