Big Guy
WavePad will no longer open or edit a full audio from my Tascam DR-05 recorder. The recordings are in Mp3 format. So I tried recording in Wav. and the same issue occurs. Example WavePad will only upload 3:36:976 minutes of a 2:00:17 file. I've used the PAID WavePadMastersEdition for the last 3 years with no issues. However, when I use my default player Windows Media 11 it will play the entire file. elk
Hi, Follow the steps below, 1. From WavePad, select the Options menu > Audio tab > "Audio working folder" section, check mark the "Use this specified folder" box and copy the folder path. C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad. 2. Paste the path on your windows folder explorer, this will open the Cache content files. 3. Delete all files within this folder. 4. Close WavePad and re open it again. 5. Re load the file and let us know the outcome.
Linda Giles
I tried this and it did not work. It is still loading only a portion of the file.
elk
Hello, In attempt to fix this issue, please try the steps below: Uninstall WavePad, then delete 3 folders named "WavePad" and 1 named "Components" from these locations: **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\WavePad\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\WavePad\ **If you can't find any of the folders, just continue. After that, restart your computer and reinstall the program using this link: https://www.nch.com.au/components/wpsetup.exe Once done, restart your system one more time. Regards.
