using sound tap as record pad input doesn't work

record pad produces an error "cannot open the sound device for recording".

 

record input is set to sound tap. I have tried with sound tap open, in sytem tray and closed. But cannot get this to work.

 

I open sound tap first to get the driver available in record pad.

 

This error also happens with other applications.

 

May main interest is to get sound tap working in and application called screen recorder gold. But....I get the same problem with the error "can't open the sound device."

Do you get any messages in the SoundTap window?
