Hello!

I bought the SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder  and did the correct registration but it does not work on my computers.

I use two differents computers, one with Windows 10 and another one with Windows 8.

On another laptop with Windws 7 and XP it's okay.

Thanks

Hello,

The issue you are reporting here could be a driver mismatch that is causing this issues, what you may want to try is to reinstall the audio driver on your computer, To do that you may want to contact the computers manufacturer and check for the latest audio driver for her computer model.  Also, test if the issue happens when you try to record the stream from the same source?

I tested the latest SoundTap version 6.03 but cannot replicate the issue you are reporting here. One thing you can try is to reinstall an older version of the program and test if it works. You can try using this link http://www.oldversiondownload.com/oldversions/soundtap-5-05-2018-04-12.exe

Also, keep in mind that the best way to get support on issues like these is directly from NCH Software team.

I got a new laptop with the best hardware all around (Dell XPS15).  I had to re-buy Soundtap, for the 3rd time(!),  and it is giving me this issue.  No one seems to have a "that's it" solution.  I wrote them twice about this and no response.  Please get this fixed.  Product Management failure 101.

I have tried older versions and tried every possible combination of input sound sources.  Nothing.

Make sure that you are using and AudioStream, also check the Sound setup on your Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Sound\Recording Tab, make sure that the device has the correct drivers and is been recognized on your machine.

Can you please open a support ticket to http://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html, so one of our specialist in Soundtap help you? Please do, and also be very specific in your request, so we can assist you further.

Just purchased a new Dell all in one. Re-register my software. When I hit record, it jut keep looking for streaming. Tried everything possible, the same as mentioned above with everyone. Sent to tec support, just waiting to hear back. Still works great on my old Dell inspiring computer. NCH has serious issues to resolve on this. I don't think it recognizes the soundcard at all.

Have purchased and installed the bundled software today (4/4/2020).  The sound pad will simply not recognize the sound card.  That was the main reason I purchased this!!!I am using a new HP Pavilion with core i5.

bought this software back in December 2019 for use while visiting relatives, soundtap has not worked since I purchased it. It worked perfectly on my older computer but there in no recording on my current laptop. First tech support said it was not their software and then I was told to open SOundtap and go to sounds in my control panel and right click on one of the output options and set the one that plaid sound ans set as default. Sorry to say that did not work either. I am 4 months into my purchase and the product I purchased dose not work and tech support seems not to know how to solve this common issue.

I downloaded the free version and can't get it to work.  After reading about everyone else's problems, I think I'll pass on spending my money on it.  Especially since tech support seems nonexistent.  It's too bad, I was hoping this would be a good companion for WavPad, which I use a lot.

All --  I found by accident that I can record with Win10 by putting the sound out through BlueTooth.  Have to start the record manually sometimes.  But it works.  Hope this info leads to fixing the bug.  Not always convenient to send to a BlueTooth device.

How do you do that?
