Defining a region for Export

Hi

my first post, an hour after purchase

 

I've defined a region, by dragging in the time line near the bottom of the pane, but i only want to export part of it

( other parts of my tracks need to stay with the file for future work )

 

The instructions say I have an option to export only the region and not the whole disaster

but this does not show under settings when i go to export

 

am i missing something?

the help files describe a different picture in many places

it says there is a loop mode button just above the PLAY control jn the transport, yet not even official scream shots show this

Hi robv,

To export only a selected portion of your project, you must create a selection in the timeline (not in the main project area). Drag your mouse in the timeline area.

 

Then when you export, there will be a dialog which contains an option to "Export selected work region only".
