Wavepad seems to think that my playback device is the modem. When I try to change this in Settings, it doesn't stick.

 

I'm trying to get set up to record telephone conversations thru the modem, but just can't seem to get it worked out.

 

When I try to record, it seems that nothing is happening.

 

If I "open" a wav file in WavePad and try to play it, a warning pops up urging me to check the settings for the playback device. Changing the settings won't stick.

 

So far, I can't record, and I can't play back. I've spent hours on this for absolutely no gain.

 

Any ideas?

Hi, after changing the settings, did you click OK button? The settings will only be saved after the OK button is clicked.
