Fling on Windows 2008 R2 and NTFS permissions

Hi All,

Not much help on the wider internet so I thought I would post my problems and solutions here.

Im using Windows 2008 R2 and found that an older version of Fling 2.26 would eat 100% CPU usage.

I have installed 2.35 and I hope this issue goes away. I will keep you updated.

Also, when specifying the "Local base Folder (transfer from this folder)" option, I would receive the following error in a yellow popup balloon.

"Local folder required

You do not have write access ove the folder you have selected..."

Even though the local Administrator and SYSTEM user had full NTFS permissions on the folder, the Administrators group account (I was logged in as Domain Admin) was required to be added to the NTFS permissions of the folder before it allowed me to click OK.

So, just make sure your account or group your account belongs to is included in the parent folder permission with write permissions.

I hope this helps someone.

Regards, Mariner.
