Cannot convert any files to the ALAC (mp4) Apple Lossless format

I can convert any file format with ease, between Switch, Fussion, and XLD on my mac, in fact much of it is available using codecs in Quicktime Pro, but one file format simply does not work in Switch, and that is the ALAC or Apple Lossless mp4 file. It says it will do it, but it does not, and I get a notice that I need the aacenc4 component to do that. NCH does not have that component listed, and in fact, does not even have any components you can download for macintosh...all are self executable .exe Windows files...useless on my mac. Any suggestions?
