missiemilla
Help! I've spent ages creating a video but every time I try to export it, VideoPad simply closes and opens my browser with the nch.com.au webpage instead. It does this whatever format and resolution settings I use. Is there something I can do about this or is VideoPad simply not suitable for my computer? I'm on Windows XP. Many thanks
Nationalsolo
Hi No idea why that is happening. What version of VP are you using and what are the exact steps you are following to export your video? Nat
missiemilla
Hi Nat, thanks for the reply. I'm using version 3.10 - the home use version as I wanted to see what it was like before giving payment details. Steps are: 1) Click Export Video -> choose 'save to file' 2) Select Format, Resolution and Frame Rate - have tried various options in different combinations, have also tried using the Detect button to see what VP thinks it wants. 3) Keep default encoder options 4) Click Create Then the whole thing shuts down and opens the browser instead. A file is created in the destination folder but it is only a few bytes and can't be opened or converted. I've tried with different videos and different formats. Any ideas? Nationalsolo
Hi again Using version 3.10 (Non commercial Home use) the steps that workon my PC (Vista) are below. Have the edited project opened on the sequence and completely stable and previewable. Click the "Export Video" tab (Not the down arrow .....although I have also checked that it goes the same route and seems to work OK. Select "Computer/Data" option Enter the Save destination Set the following values but leave the defaults for any values not mentioned. Preset....... HD 720 File format..avi Resolution 1280 x 720 - HD 720p Frame rate 25 (PAL)........but you would select for your TV system Encoder options: Video compressor........MPEG4 (Native) Sound compressor......MP3 (Native) OK Create VP then converts (renders) the avi in the selected folder. I can't get it to shut down or open the browser.......Sorry. I can only suggest you try a reinstall of version 3.10 or download version 3.11 http://www.nchsoftwa...opad/index.html or try the latest Beta version 3.12 http://www.nchsoftware.com/beta/ Nat
missiemilla
Thanks Nat. I've done a completely fresh install and tried the suggested settings but unfortunately it's still doing the same thing. Looks like VP is just not for me. Thanks for trying anyway!
