Where is the database resides??

Recommended Posts

If you are using Win Vista or later, the database is located under ProgramData folder.

For example: C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\Copper

Although possible, manually modifying these data is NOT recommended as it can result in undesirable consequences such as data corruption, crashing of Copper, or hard-drive catching fire ;-)

All you have to move is your data, via the Tools menu. Choose Back Up Data and store your data somewhere safe. Then download install, and register Copper on the new computer and Restore Data via the same Tools menu. You should be all set.

Can I move C:\ProgramData\NCH Software to another drive to use (e.g. D:\NCH Software)?

No, our programs only install to the default C:\ProgramData\NCH Software location. They won't work if you move your files to another location.
