Vanishing or empty recording files

Hello:

 

I used GR successfully two weeks ago. My player-amplifier-computer connection remains the same, as does the location of the recording files, the colored meter moves according to the sound I hear. The noise floor sets at -25. I click Next and save the file. Everything is the same, but when I open the Recording folder, the Save folder is there and is the only thing there---but the Save folder is empty is empty.

 

On two occasions, I checked the Recording folder and found a file with the express-burn logo, but the file disappeared upon closing and re-opening the Recording folder. It's truly bizarre. I have re-installed and updated the program to 1.96. The problem remains.

 

I have searched everywhere for the file and find none. Any suggestions? Thanks.
