No video with audio on preview

Hi, VideoPaders

 

I just downloaded free VideoPad 2.41. I'm running XP Version 5.1 SP3. I'm Trying VP out with a WMV clip that's about 3 minutes long. It plays perfectly in Real Player and in the VLC media player. When I put it in the sequence part of the window I can see both video and audio tracks.

 

However, when I try to play it in either the left or right preview windows I get only the audio and no video. Also, only audio when I use "Preview" on the tool bar. Interestingly, when I try to play the clip, both left and right windows and on the large preview, the windows become transparent and show what's on the screen under them. Same problem with an identical FLV clip.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be a codec problem.

Try installing the k lite codec pack.

No idea otherwise. It's worth a try. WMV files play OK in VP on my PC (Vista)

If it still doesn't work try uninstalling the files and setting it up again.
