chuk1789
I have a Canon ZR850 camcorder that I've been trying forever to find a way to capture my videos to PC (apparently our friends at Canon didn't think this model through) I bought the NCH Video Suite to handle this, but appears to be yet another tool that doesn't work. Here's the deal: - As mentioned, the camera is a Canon ZR850 camcorder - Camera is set to Play and video mode (not picture mode) - Camera is connected to an HP Pavilion dv6000 series laptop with Windows7 OS - Camera is connected via 4pin to 4pin cable directly into the laptop (onboard port) - Computer recognizes the camera as confirmed through the computer (Control Panel > Devices and Printers) - NCH Video Capture software does not recognize the camera. It says "No device of this type present". So what the hell? What am I missing here? Looks like I may have been sold a loser on NCH? Or is that too harsh too soon? Kirill
Hi, at this moment, VideoPad can be used to capture video from camcorders. In the future, Debut will also support capturing video from such devices.
