transcribergirl Posted October 13, 2011 Share Posted October 13, 2011 I am trying to transcribe an mp3 audio file that was made doing a telephone interview through Skype. I think modern telecom uses an autoleveler of sorts, which tries to amplify or de-amplify sounds to be at the same level. The end result is that any time the person being interviewed isn't talking, there is very loud static noise and when the person being interviewed is talking, that volume is too low to hear well enough to transcribe. This situation makes it impossible to transcribe. Does anyone out there have a solution for this issue?
