Help, DVC has taken control of....

I'm a new user and this is my first post. Here's the problem I'm experiencing;

DVC has taken over control of various program 'redirects'.

I'm using the free version of DVC on a Toshiba laptop running Win7. I have several programs, Microsoft Streets and trips and the Kindle PC reader to name two. Both programs have clickable links embedded on various screens that are suppose to open a direct internet link via IE or Firefox to an appropriate website. In Microsoft S & T it's a campground data base and for Kindle it's a 'Shop in Kindle store' link. Since downloading and installing DVC these links, instead of opening the appropriate website now launch DVC.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

.... and

Does anyone know how I can fix it?

Thanks.... Greg

On Edit; Also discovered that clicking on the Help 'Contents' link within the DVC program also opens DVC in a second window as does clicking the Help button.
