DVD format

I downloaded and installed Debut. It works fine but because I am a video recording newbie I do not know that format to use for output. I chose wmv because it was the only one I recognized. However I need the file saved in a format that when burned to a DVD can be read by any DVD player.

I am guessing that is DVD format which is not one of the options in Debut (unless I don't recognize it under a different name). I therefore used another program to convert the wmv file to DVD iso format but that was unnecessary additional time. Can Debut save to standard DVD file format?

Does the paid version add the capability to save to DVD file format?

Ok bud, her's what you do;

Record whatever it is you want, in any file format.

Open it in Videopad Video Editor, do what you want with it, then 'Save Movie'.

You can then save your clip to all sorts of devices, including to a DVD. I've never exercised this option but it's all there, black and white, clear as crystal.

Enjoy your easy fix. Also, the paid version of almost all NCH products just clarify said programs as 'Yours'. Otherwise you have a trail period before being denied use of the program.
