Error Writing to Disk

Hi Everyone:

 

I installed VideoPad yesterday, and have been frustrated from the get go because the software fails consistenly to write to a DVD.

 

I have another burning software, which I later use to write to the same DVD-RW I tried wtih VideoPad.

 

I just get a message when the software is around 8% in the writing process saying: "Error Writing to Disk".

 

Before it gets to this point, it appears to format the disk to a certain point or level.

 

Any ideas what can cause this problem or how to solve it?
