Can't get the NCHAPI or IVMAPI working.

Hi Everyone,

 

I have been trying to get ether the NCHAPI or IVMAPI working with little success.

 

With the IVMAPI as described here. http://www.nch.com.au/ivm/sdk.html#API I can connect to IVM but sending commands e.g. get API version,

I always get 0 as a response(instead of 1 as per doc's). No matter what command I send I always get a 0

in response and nothing happens in IVM. Using Spyxx I can see the commands arriving at IVM and they are correct

as per the doc's, I know my code is fine as I can replace the IVMAPI commands with raw menu commands ( snooped from

using spyxx) and they work.

 

I also tried the NCHAPI and have simular problems, I can connect to the test server fine with both the sample

client and also my own client using commands such as testapi and showmessagebox with success. As soon as I try to

send commands to IVM via NCHAPI I get a connection but have 0 returned. This is true using both the NCHAPI sample

client and my client.

 

I have tried on both a windows xp machine and windows 7, I'm writing my stuff with VS c# and have tried different

.NET frameworks just in case e.g. .NET 3.5 and 4.0. I'm using IVM V5.03.
