Palm Dictate -file NOT playing on PC

I am REALLY strugginling with this. I am trying to ge ta dictation from my palm treo 650 to my PC> I have the whole gammit of nch softwares for dictation for medical use installed ...but i prefer to use my palm. Now I have a dictation in my menu, i go to menu and save as then to the memorary card and then give it a name. I tranfer the card to my laptop and i try to open the file using scribe. It comes up with an error message "invalid file length". I cannot seem to work it.
