mark.dunsire@yahoo.co.uk
I am a newbie so apologies for the basic question.... I have many mailboxes all set to forward any new messages to my mobile. Is there an easy way to get the mailbox to announce which mailbox it is that is forwarding the message before (or after!) it plays the message to my mobile???? In summary, I need to know which mailbox is forwarding the message to my mobile. Many thanks, Mark
Guest N_C_H_JT
Hi Mark, When IVM emails a message it always includes some information other than the actual audio in the text of the email. By default this will follow the format: Subject: IVM Message Mailbox: %mailboxname% CID: %cid% %callername% Body: Attached is a message received in your voice mailbox by the IVM Telephone Attendant. Date: %date% Time: %time% CID: %cid% Caller: %callername% Mailbox: %mailboxname% Open the attachment to listen to the recording. Items between %%s represent variables based on the message, so %mailboxname% would be replaced with the actual mailbox name. If you have changed your default email template to no longer include these variables I would recommend adding %mailboxname% back in at a minimum so you can see that information before listening to a message.
