Guest Frank
I would like to know if I load a mp3 file and make some simple cut, then save over the original one, is there some recompression with mp3 codec (losing some quality) or it performs only the cuts, updating the positions into the original mp3 wave file? The same with multiple cuts & save over the original. Thanks Francesco
nchngoc
Hi, The answer to your question depends on your source file: 1) Your original mp3 file is created by WavePad If you use the option Save then the quality of the file will remain the same. But if you use the option Save As then it will depends on the Mp3 settings that you select. 2) Your original mp3 file is created by other programs The quality of the file may be changed even you use Save option (but for the first time you save it only, after that it should be the same) Hope it can help!
