MP4 video ok but no audio can be heard

I have a Sanyo CG10 camcorder which records MP4-AVC video at 720p with mp4a AAC LC audio at 48000hz (128kb/s)

The video plays ok in Videopad but the audio does not play.

 

If I play an MP4 video from my mobile phone which records mp4a AAC LC audio at 11025hz (64kb/s) it plays the audio ok as well as the video.

 

So, why does VideoPad not play audio from my CG10 ?

I too have same problem with the Sanyo CG10 and the Sanyo VPC-FH1. Video plays OK, but no audio. I can play the MPEG4 files fine (video and audio) using the VLC Media Player. Any suggestions?
