johnywhy
hi i keep getting "Fling File Transfer Error" emails. Fling says Unable to open file. Check you have set your service settings using Options to enable Network access That doesn't make sense, because the files in question are local, not network files. i noticed that 'LOCAL SERVICE' account has only 'Read' and 'Read and Execute' permissions on the files in question. other times i get Upload: F:\My File.eml FAILED FTP: Opening BINARY mode data connection for My File.eml what should i do? thanks
BurakUeda
Hi, First, thanks for the great FTP client. I got same message when Fling uploads edited files automatically to the FTP server: Unable to open file. Check you have set your service settings using Options to enable Network access The files in question are a bunch of randomly named .tmp files, and are not exists. My wild guess would be Fling is creating them to check if the application finished the writing to prevent sending corrupt files to the server. And deleting them afterwards. Besides the distracting error messages, updated files are uploaded without a problem, so cannot complain.
