How to use FLING?

English is not my native language and so I maybe have not understand everything stated in help files. I work with smal town office. There are running about 15 PCs and a LAN server. I would like to create a system for delivering actual documents to the public and internal recipients via e-mails with the links to actual documents saved on our web domain. So what I try to solve is this:

  1. I have already created corresponding folders on the WEB server:

    1. GENERAL - for backup of folders/documents for storing general domuments
    2. INTERNAL - for backup of folders/documents for storing internal domuments

[*]My intention is to have folders created on my HDD (or better on LAN server?):

  1. IMPORT - for storing documents to be moved depending on their content to GENERAL/RRRRMMDD or INTERNAL/RRRRMMDD
  2. GENERAL - for storing documents to be exported to WEB/GENERAL
  3. INTERNAL - for storing documents to be exported to WEB/INTERNAL

[*]As soon as any colleauge saves/changes a document in his ("EXPORT") folder, the file is copied in my "IMPORT" folder.

[*]I move the imported files to "GENERAL/RRRRMMDD" or "INTERNAL/RRRRMMDD".

[*]As soon as the files are moved, FLING backups them to correponding folders on the WEB server.

I would appreciate very much if any of you would give me suggestion on where to install FLING and how to set it up? Would it be better (if I need also maintain/edit the imported files) exclude LAN server from all of this?
