Exporting file from Prism?

Hi,

 

I'm sure i'm stupid or what I want is simply impossible but I had a avi. file and I wanted to convert it so I could import it into imovie.

I haver tried everything my non-technically minded brain can think off but nothing. I can convert using prism (an awesome piece of software)

but then cannot move/load the file into imovie.

 

Impossible?

 

Thoughts?
