Did not save file - invalid output directory

I used Recordpad and it indicated it was recording. When I stopped the recording, the UI showed the file that was recorded as "GA Recording 5". However, when I tried to view the file in the "Recordings Window" it was not there. I searched for the file on my HDD and could not find it.

Then I realised that the Output folder that was specified was invalid - there was no such path. e.g

Ouput path: "C:\Documents and Settings\androng\My Documents\Recordpad"

 

However there is no "Recordpad" directory under "My Documents"

 

Is my recording lost? Is there any way to restore this file? e.g. temporary folder Recordpad uses if the output path is invalid, etc.

 

Please help!
