What is the best and easiest way to equalize the volume on my 70,000 MP3 files with Switch Plus version 4.17? I do not want to lose any dynamic properties, just want equal volume.

normalization file levels normalization - dependable?
jpt101 posted a topic in Switch Sound Converter
Greetings. I like NCH software generally so far, and I need a GOOD volume levels normalizer but I wanted feedback from anyone before I buy it. - How well does it work for anyone? - can it do batches of files dependably? I'm being a pest about this because I have tried two other batch-level-normalizers so far an neither of them actually does the job. I want to be able to set a db level and have every single file set to that db level with no b.s., period. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks. -
Express Scribe Software I am having trouble transcribing because of problems hearing the dictation which is send to me via MP3 by e-mail. I have used the software for about two years or so and this problem has only arisen in the last couple of weeks. I have downloaded the Special Audio processed for background noise and enhanced volume but they don't seem to have improved the software. Any suggestions anyone. I am not particularly savvy about these things so a response in a form suitable for a "dummy" would be appreciated.

Before I get into the main question, I couldn't seem to find a search. Even posting this it's asking for tags, so I'm assuming you can search the forum some kind of way. Any help finding that might help in not having to post. Thanks..... The meat of the question: I'm trying to figure out a way to automate the master volume fader. I'm not set on Mixpad yet, I'm still testing the features, but it's one thing I can't figure out. Also have other programs installed trying to figure what is the best for me. Mixpad seems relatively simple in comparison to the other programs. I'm surprised I couldn't find a tutorial on it. I would have thought that would be a basic thing easy to figure out. Fade Out/Fade In just sets it on the individual tracks, but there should be a way to control the master fader rather than on each individual clip. A short term solution has been to save it without fade out, export it, create a new one and then add the fade out separately on the exported file, but even that is a hassle when you could just automate the master fader.

Hi guys, Everytime I try to record something Mixpad puts a volume limit on my tracks and they end up sounding uneven and tinny at high volume levels. Just wondering if there is any way to turn off this limiter? I cant seem to find any option to do so and I have looked everywhere

Hi, I've been trying this for months but couldn't come up with a solution. What I want to achieve is to reduce the volume of several clips at once, without having to go into each clip one by one to reduce the volume. I've already placed the clips on the sequence timeline, I highlight say 5-6 of them and then in the audio effects I choose "Change Clip Volume". Problem is it only changes the volume of one of the clips and not all five of them. I know there is a volume button at the front of the timeline but that reduces the volume of every clip on the timeline and there are interviews and other stuff for which I need to maintain the higher level of volume. Please let me know if I can just "batch" reduce the volume of certain clips or not as it would save a huge amount of time for me. Now I go into each clip one by one and it takes a LONG time. Also, I tried exporting to wavepad and so on, but that just makes the whole process even longer. Thanks!

I can't figure out how to record a song that has both regular level and belt level volumes I have the Rode NT1-A Microphone (it's amazing), so I'm wondering if there's something I can do in the mixing software to help eliminate fuzziness, echoiness, and just flat out different quality from when I sing soft vs. loud. HELP!! Please and thank you
