Hello there, I purchased my videopad video editor software from NHC in September 2015. From one minute to the other my sequence preview and the whole programm got screwed. When I try to see the video I'm working on in the sequence preview/the preview/effects my video is constantly stopping(freezing/lagging),my video for some reason is always in slowmotion and also at one point it just stops and says: building preview even though the video has already loaded in. I really don't know what to do and unfortunately I cannot work like this anymore. I already tried to reinstall the programm, to give the program time and just play the whole thing once or twice with all the laggs, slow motion in the hope that after I played it like this it had time to calibrate all the crap and then be able to play it normal but no... it still doesn't work. Please if you have any tipp let me know! I also don't know how to upgrade the program. Thank you !
sbs posted a topic in VideoPadHi. I'm very new to Videopad Pro. I'm sure this is a very basic question, but I haven't been able to find the answer yet. Previously I used AVS Video Remaker and AVS Video Editor. One of the tools on those editors that I used very often, was to play a full-speed video back at a much slower speed for editing. Basically I want to be able to stop the video at the exact moment that something happens in the video, to identify the exact point in the timeline where the event happens, so I know where to insert my audio clip. How do I do this on Videopad Pro? I haven't yet discovered how to slow down the playback. Currently I'm limping along using the "next frame" button on the sequence playback window but I'm finding that a poor substitute--it takes too long to advance through several seconds or minutes of video, and sometimes my computer hangs up and takes forever just to advance one step forward to the next frame. Then if I hit the "next frame" button again a few times while I'm waiting, it suddenly lurches forward several frames and I don't know whether or not I've skipped over the event I've been watching for. Not really a workable solution. Now, I am noticing that VLC media player does a great job of slow-motion playback, but so far as I can discover the time counter only updates by whole seconds, which is useless for my purpose. I guess I could use AVS Video Remaker to play a clip back slowly and identify the exact points on the timeline I'm interested in, and then use Videopad to do my actual editing once those points are known. But I really don't want to have to load my videos into two separate editing programs! Any hints on how to play a full-speed video back at a slower speed for editing, in Videopad Pro would be much appreciated. Thanks. Steve
