  1. Hi all. I imported videos recorded from my phone and a dashcam. Made it into one synced video that was hoping to export as a 1280 x 720. The only options were Letterbox and Crop & Zoom. After exporting either, the result is not what I want. Somehow, it is taking the vertical video from phone (so the videos recorded on the phone was fine), but when it switch to the dashcam video, it is squeezed into the width of the video phone recording width. Meaning it's smaller than what it should be. How do I avoid this? I don't mind black bars. I even put a black dummy image at the background hoping it will act as an anchor for the whole video. Please help.
  2. Hey there, I wasn't having this issue initially, but after tinkering with VideoPad to get my images to actually Export, it no longer exports the entire video no matter what I think to do. The full file size of the video should be around 2 gig, but every single time it is only exporting the first 400mb and I have literally no idea what is happening. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
  3. I just exported a pretty basic video that should run 4 minutes and 7 seconds. The exported version has an extra 24 seconds of blank, black screen at the end. A second or two would be okay but this is ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing on the tracks beyond the 4 minute 7 second mark. I used 8.4 with this result, then upgraded to 8.15. Same result. Solution?
  4. Hi, running latest vers 8.02 on Mac here. I have several long videos 10-30 min in length that I simply want to split into smaller clips and export as individual files. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this; when I export it puts all the clips together in one vid. Do I need to create a new sequence for each clip? Seems like a pain in the butt. Thanks
  5. I want to export my customers into my phone contacts. I see the customers are individual .dat files. I guess I can import each file into excel and then export it to a CSV file. But that's pain full.
  6. Hi, No matter what i do, videopad won't let me export lossless video. I read the criteria from the page videopad sent me to and converted the source video to H.264 and then to mp4, but videopad still gives me the message that the source video does not meet the criteria. Why doesn't it let me export lossless video? is there something else i need to do? Does it have something to do with this criteria? I watched the youtube on exporting but it did not explain loseless exporting. The output format must match the input format. Supported formats are .avi, .mkv, .mov, .mp4 How do I control these things? Thanks to anyone who takes the time to answer!
  7. I finished a project and am now trying to export it but no matter what I try, the full video will not export. I've tried different file formats, tried sending the file to different locations on my PC as well as on Google Drive. But no matter what, it only exports part of the video. The amount of the video exported is random too, sometimes a minute and a few seconds, sometimes two minutes or more, completely random. I've tried to fix this about 100 times with all different combinations but nothing seems to work, if anyone has any ideas please let me know because this project took a while and I'd hate to lose it. (Few things to note: I have plenty of storage space, all the files used in the project are still on my computer, not deleted, and I've exported videos in the past although this did happen before, however last time I just tried again and it worked).
  8. Hello, who can answer please, why does the sound quality changes after exporting file?how to keep it the same ?
  9. I have been using videopad for the past 4 months and have noticed that my video's audio always sounds bad after I export it. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't sound HORRIBLE, just not crystal clear. In fact, most people probably wouldn't even hear the difference, but I am a video editor by trade, so making sure my video has the best quality audio and visuals is very important to me. The only way I can describe how it sounds is imagine you are watching a 1080p Youtube video, and then you switch it to 360p. The audio would still sound fine, but not nearly as crisp as in 1080p. That's how all my videos sound, like they are in 360p, even though the video is in 1080p. Is it my export settings? If so, then what's the best export settings for clear audio that I can set it to? My usual settings are as follows: Preset - Default File Format - MP4 Resolution - Auto Match Content Frame Rate - Variable Smart Max Now once I started hearing the audio problem, I started to tinker with the MP4 encoding settings, and here are the video and audio settings as follows: Compressor - H264 Video quality/bitrate - High Quality Lossless export- Auto Detect Compressor - AAC Preferred Channel Numbers - Same as input Audio quality/bitrate - High Quality So what about my settings are causing this issue? On a sidenote, whenever I use AVI instead of MP4, this seems to fix the issue, but for some reason my VLC player is not playing the AVI files that videopad exports, even though all other AVI files play fine with it. This wouldn't be a big issue for most people, but my VLC player is how I watch all of my videos, so I would like my videos to be compatible with it, but that's an issue for another day. Also, using the Lossless video setting seems to work the best for this issue, but it doesn't ALWAYS work. Half of the Lossless videos I try to export fail without any reason given, forcing me to go back to a regular MP4 export with the bad audio. Please help.
  10. Hi, I have been trying to export a video that I have two shake effects in separate tracks. Everything works well when I export the video except for the shake effects. Neither of them work, and I have tried some other effects that seem to work (transitions also work). I have tried mp4, mkv, and avi file formats.
  11. Hello guys, and VP users, I have a problem, and I would be really happy if You could help me. Recently my hard disk has broken, so I’ve decided to replace it with a ssd. I had Linux on the pc for one month, but I managed to install Windows 10 from a USB. Now, I have a video of about 25 seconds (I want to see if what I’m doing is ok) and Videopad doesn’t want to export. Yesterday evening the cpu usage was about at 98% , but it was creating in 2 hours 0.2 seconds of video in 1080! Now I’ve restarted the exporting process and the cpu usage is about 30%. Do you know what I should do? Thank you very much for your help and patience. Riccardo
  12. Hi I'm using VideoPad 7.34 I found many post on this forum abount cropping issues, black bands and so on but I have not found a solution. My purpose is very simple: I want to crop a video (applying a crop rectangle static filter) and then export the video with that new size. I don't want to upscale, downscale, zoom, scretch to aspect, adapt to 16:9 or optimazing it for youtube. When I apply a crop filter the "Auto match content" feature always detect the original size and not the new cropped size. It's possible to reach this goal without use another processing tool? Thank you Matteo
  13. Can Videopad make DVDs that will play on an ordinary DVD player through a TV set? After editing, I've been going to "export DVD movie" then "DVD movie disc". This makes DVDs that will play on the computer, but at lower quality / resolution than Preview, but when I put the disc in my TV's DVD player I get "disc error, please eject the disc, playback feature may not be available on this disc". What's going wrong?
  14. I am using Debut to transfer home videos to my computer, with a Honestech device to connect the VCR to my computer. I have chosen to use Debut rather than the Honestech software that came with the device, as it is quite dated. A 2-hour video converts to an almost 8 GB mp4 file. This seems excessive to me, and as I have many to convert, I would like to ensure that I am using the optimum configuration. Would someone please direct me to the best file type and settings? Thank you.
  15. I have an problem with the newer Versions of Videopad. Since version 6.26 Videopad use just about 30-40 prozent of my CPU by the export. The consequence is that the export of the video takes 3 times longer than in version 6.26, because in version 6.26 Videopad use almost the whole CPU (ca. 95%) By all versions over 6.26 (6.28, 6.29, 6.30, 6.31, 6.32 und 7.00) is the export thus slow. My export settings are: Youtube 1080P, lossles Export, H264: 8000kbps, Audio: 320kbps, Constant 30fps and my CPU is the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G. Operating System: Windows 10 PRO. All the files are on an SSD. EDIT: I MEAN CERTAINLY I USE NOT THE LOSSLES EXPORT
  16. Hi guys, I need some help/advice please, I'm trying to export a fairly large file to YouTube, every other one I've tried exporting has gone fine, this one keeps failing on me, it gets through the initial upload screen, then when it tells me the progression of the upload in kbps it gets to 13% and then failss every time, is there a fix for this? I'm a Youtuber and I need to get this video uploaded, any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance
  17. After I make changes to a video, I go to Export, then to Video File, select the name of the file being edited, I then get an Export Queue dialog box, if I click to overwrite the existing file with the changes I've made, I get a red error message "Failed: File Not Writable. May be in use." Am I doing something wrong or is it possible to have the system overwrite the previous file? What I've done so far is rename the second copy adding an "A" to the end of the name so it becomes unique and the system creates another copy. I then delete first copy and rename second copy to the first copy name. It's just a work around I've found but there must be a better way. I hope you can help. Thanks. Ron 😡

  19. I have made 104 video files video in the videopad its about 3 hours long. The preview in videopad is playing properly but on exporting the video in any extension (.avi,.mp4) with 720p or 480p or as a portable video the video is not playing properly. The size of the exported file comes up to 8 gb. It takes atleast 12 hours to export. The exported video plays properly for about 30 mins and then its gets all shaky. The sound is perfect but just the video is all shaky. What am I doing wrong? I don’t get it. Previously I had made videopad videos of around 60 files of about 2 hours and they exported fine. And are only 1gb. Please help. I have tried everything but maybe I am new to this so I don’t get it.
  20. When I export my video it is washed out (like it has a brightness filter on it). It is a cooking video. The walls are light gray and counter top is also light with a window in the back. You can't tell what's in the bowls because it's so bright ( again, only after exporting). It looks fine while editing.
  21. Earlier today I exported a 15 minute video just fine and yesterday an hour long one but today I exported an hour and a half long vid and once it finishes processing threads it just doesnt move or make any progress. I left it for a few hours and nothing. Ive repaired, reinstalled, downloaded a new setup incase of updates or something, I opened up and tried to export a 1 min long vid and that didnt work so the length of the video isn't the problem. Help pls and thanks.
  22. After I export the project, there is often pausing between the clips that wasn't there before. I'm not sure what the cause is. It doesn't make much sense. The pausing occurs right at the start of almost every clip.
  23. I made a 2:43 min video for a class project, but when I've tried exporting the video ends up only 16 seconds long. It doesn't matter what type of exporting format I try, it's always 16 seconds long. I'm baffled, anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
  24. Hello! I'm looking for a way to export a video through VideoPad with an alpha channel layer in it's background? I understand the only two formats capable of this are .FLV and .MOV being as they're the only ones that can play in QuickTime player, but it doesn't seem that VideoPad Editor gives me the option! In a more specific context to my situation, I'd like to arrange an overlay to my video that plays in 10 fps, and have a background that plays in 30 fps. I don't necessarily prefer using the "Change Clip Speed" option, because it also adds a very strange and unwanted blurry transition between each slowed frame. If anybody knows of any solutions such as a frame-limit VirtualDub plugin or other means, please let me know! Thanks! VM
  25. Hello, I am new to VideoPad Professional. I record videos in 3840 x 1080 format so that I can record my screen and record from webcam. I am trying the following: Crop the video in half. So that I have two 1920 x 1080 videos Resize them as needed. And position them how I want. When I see my sequence in the preview, I can see everything as I want in the 1920 x 1080 ratio. But when I export the video it exports it in 3840 x 1080 format. Am I missing something? Is this even possible? Thank you in advance for any suggestions :).
