  1. I tried several times to import 8K files (from DJI Mavic Air 2, Hyperlapse). My intent is to convert it to 4K and then export the file as 4K. It is said those files just can't be read. Are there any tips to handle 8K files with VideoPad?
  2. Pretty much resolved by unmarking the "use hardware acceleration" box. It just takes longer to export the files. That's fine and I'm satisfied! Thank you very much and stay healthy!!!!!!!!
  3. Ok. Unmarking "use harware acceleration" makes a difference. Now, the effects work in the exported 4K. But, it takes significantly longer. (At least, now I can apply it into my video clips). I updated the video card thing. I have Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 (2/25/2020). Then, I have two questions. 1) How can you explain 2K and 1080 works but not 4K with the box marked? 2) Do you think the graphic card I have needs to be replaced? My computer is HP Intel Core i5 8th Gen. Again, only radial and circular blurs don't work in the exported 4K videos. I would appreciate it if you could give me the conclusion. Thank you very much, borate!!!! -0-0- Ah..so even after the update, 4K is still not working with the hardware acceleration (Radial blur & Rotational blur). So, my tentative conclusion is... Go 2K Alternatively, unmark the acceleration hardware. But, the latter one has two main downsides. 1. It takes way longer for the overall process (much more significantly) - ok with very short clips or without sound tracks much involved. 2. It makes me pray to god. (white crisscross grid appears) - unacceptable. Btw, I am a fan of Videopad!!
  4. DirectX is already updated. To be honest, i don't know about the video driver. My computer has Window10 Home operating system However, it shows black if you look at my uploaded videos. It's not the problem of video player either. Today, I am updating this matter with an additional finding. 2K works fine. Only 4K is not working so far. So, it's not the original file size but the file size of the exported video that matters. And only 4K shows black image where I applied either radial blur or circular blur. If I export the same file with 2K (or 1080), they just work fine! If you have a chance, could you please give me more explanation about the video driver? Can it really affect the editing software? I believe it should affect only display of video, not the file itself. I don't know what video driver I am using now. I will contact technical support if video driver can cause the problem I am struggling with. ALMOST THERE!
  5. Actually, I've just updated the software again and confirmed one thing just now. It worked when I exported the file (originally 4K) in 1080HP, simultaneously applying the radial blur effect. (I tried both 1080HP and 4K as a resolution of the exported files) I think those two particular effects are not compatible with 4k. When I converted the effective 1080HP output file (after those effects were applied and exported in 1080hp) back to 4K using VP, the effects were still retained. (But, the quality of image is poorer than the original 4K copy). So, there is a way to apply it with additional steps (cut the portion --> apply and convert to 1080 --> convert back to 4K --> merge). However, I don't think it's what it is supposed to be. File size, resolution or other reasons?
  6. I already tried the latest release. What is your suggestion? Do I have to keep downloading and erasing it until those effects kick in?
  7. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FdqnYazbKC3l3o9ug1IOULFoNwPLdXA0/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hRyL4zZnRl0X_Pp7krA4ZEPSv3sgSTCf/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JRXLCI0m7KRMzkbbwCbLKW66p4hcGf2H/view?usp=sharing Last one is an example of when it works. It's 1080hp file. I am not 100% sure if this effect only works depending on the file size or fps yet. Although, I believe it is supposed to work at any circumstances.
  8. I don't know how to create and use a free server where I can upload videos to share with others. I googled about it but I couldn't find any. If you can recommend any specific sites, please let me know. Btw, any 4K images will not work. Today, I've just found 1080hp videos work.
  9. Thanks for the information. It's really helpful 😀 However, I've decided to go back to the old version as the newest version doesn't have icon of speed change of clip anymore. Hopely, radial blur and rotational blur work well with 4K footage too. So far, they don't. Exported clips just show black even with the newest version of the software. However, they are rendered properly when the resolution is 1080hp or below. Correct me if it's not what is supposed to be.
  10. After another experiment, I've concluded it's the resolution of image that matters. So, those two effects work smoothly for 1080HP, not for 4K. I tried them in both old version and newest version of the software. I wonder if it's indeed true that those two effects are not compatible with 4K images (actually, it works very occasionally in 4K footage). But, all the other blur effects work fine (blur, directional blur, motion blur).
  11. So, I've tried several times to use radial and circular blurs but they are almost never rendered to the exported clips. On the program display, it seems they are applied and working fine. Always, the portion they are applied shows black in the exported clips. I tried these effects in multiple different settings. 25fps vs 30fps vs 60fps when taken 25fps vs 30fps vs other constant frame rate vs variable frame rate (or default) when exported orginal copy vs rough draft (or edited & exported once or twice already using Videopad or another) direction of movements of camera speed of the clip (faster speeds) speed of the movements of camera type of camera (drone vs GoPro Hero) size of files (resolution of clips) zoom Interestingly, all showed black except the following condition. Drone, 25fps & 1080hp hyperlapse without any processing or editing (original) --> If any of these conditions doesn't meet, the clip shows black. If I just export the above mentioned clip as it is from Videopad and then again open the file in Videopad, the rendering doesn't occur in the exported clip. So, my conclusion so far is possibly it's related with frame rate. But, I doubt it! Cuz I remember when the effects were successfully applied randomly. It's like 1 out of 100 clips shows the effect kicks in. By the way, I am always dealing with 4K or sometimes, 2K. I do need radial blur!!!!!!!!! Any helps please. All other effects work just fine without noticeable issues. Buttom line is.. 1. I need to know if I am missing some crucial information regarding the effects (any settings, conditions) 2. or it's a problem of the software I got so I need to download it again and then it should work.
