  1. I have tried adjusting the bitrate down to Medium Quality, and also switched off the Lossless Export (thus Re-encoding the video). The Estimated sizes remain at 5Gb, but the ultimate export is still in the region of 13 to 14Gb. Will try again after Christmas. Have a wonderful Christmas.
  2. Thanks Borate I am still trying to determine which part of Videopad is causing the ineffective compression (changing 1 setting at a time). As soon as I have pinpointed the exact cause (like I did with the export crashes), I will file a report on it. Seeing that you mentioned you are already working on the export crashes issue, I take it you know the cause. However, I will file a report on that too if that will help you guys.
  3. *** Oh, just looked at that post regarding Proxy Editing. I actually tried that before (did not know it was called Proxy Editing), but the problem persisted...the issue lies in that Videopad does not successfully buffer the Fade Transitions, and that you have to give it time. But, as I said, by just waiting for an extra hour or so (after closing & reopening the project), it works.
  4. Thanks Borate I will check it out. The new problem however, is that it no longer efficiently compresses export video files. Example: On my previous project, I imported a 2560x1440, 60FPS video which was 3½ hours long (24Gb). I then cut it down to 1 hour and 7 minutes, after which I exported it to 1920x1080, with h264 and constant 30fps. The result, was a 5.80Gb video. Now after the new update however, I exported the exact same project on the exact same settings. Result: 14Gb. I also tried constant 29.97fps...same result.
  5. UPDATE Thanks for the advice Borate, but I was unable to find the post you were referring to. Nonetheless, I found that if I close my project, open it up again and then wait for all the green bars to run full (takes a while), it then exports without crashing. It takes a little bit longer than you originally had to wait, but totally worth it.
  6. Thanks for your quick reply Borate. 😃 Great to hear you guys are working on it! The problem with sequences, is that I am working with one big (20GB) file. I import the file, and cut out all the "dead zones" (boring parts). Because there are time lapses, I fade from one scene to the next. As I've mentioned in my edit of my OP, I have updated to 6.32, and so far, if I just let it buffer completely, I get a good export after about 3 tries. Still frustrating, but at least workable...just takes a hell of a lot of time. LOL By the way, when I finally lost my temper over struggling with VideoPad, I purchased Vegas Pro...absolutely hated it. It is so damn expensive, and misses a hell of a lot of features that VideoPad has. Then I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Media Encoder (with the intent to purchase it)...well the fact that I'm still using VideoPad despite the export woes, should tell you how that went. 🤣 Been using VideoPad since 2010, and have tried numerous others since then, but in my opinion VideoPad is still the best...frustrating warts and all. Also gonna purchase it for someone else who will be helping me with my video edits soon. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y80IOEk526I)
  7. I have a licensed version of Videopad Video Editor. Since upgrading to version 6.30, all my exports crash at random points where I have Fade Transitions between clips. I start with big (20Gb) 3 hour game video files, and then cut them down to 1 hour (sub 8Gb) videos with 1 to 2 Second Fade Transitions in-between. The original videos are MP4/FLV shot in 2560x1440 or 1920x1080 resulotion with 60FPS. My export parameters: * MP4 * 1920x1080 (1080p HD) * 30FPS This only happens at points where I have the Fade Transitions between videos. It does not always crash on the same Fade Transition point, but it does always crash on a Fade Transition point. I have tried: * Exporting to MKV & MPG instead. * Exporting to SmartMax 60FPS instead. * Exporting to very low (640x480) resolutions instead. * Cleared Videopad's Cache * Uninstalled Videopad with Revo Uninstaller (no traces left), and reinstalled. I have searched the forums, but could not find a solution. The closest I came, was where an admin asked the OP to send his project file. Other related topics I found on this forum -which did not provide solutions: http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/24482-exporting-video-failed/ http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23496-problems-exporting-any-videos/ http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/22272-error-exporting-mp4-file-types/ http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23915-cant-export/ http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23226-videopad-export-all-messed-up/ http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/24236-failed-to-export-mp4-video/ My Hardware & OS (If this would help): CPU: AMD Ryzen 5, 2600X GPU: Radeon RX 570 (4GB GDDR5) -Latest Drivers RAM: 16Gb (3000MHz DDR4) Windows: 10 Pro Can anyone please give me some advice? *EDIT: It has to be something to do with caching. I clean installed to version 6.32, and when the green caching bar was at 10 minutes, I exported the video. On the Export Queue, when it got to around 5 minutes, it said about 50% complete. The video completed "Successfully" at 10 minutes...given that it was supposed to be a 1 hour, 12 minute video. In my opinion, I think that Videopad has set the export to draw from cache (probably for performance reasons) and that it is having trouble caching the Fade Transition points.
