  1. The plot thickens. It won't install. 😯 I notice that it's v11.71. I also tried installing 11.70 straight from the website, and got the same error. Windows 11, fully updated. EDIT: False alarm. I had to kill the previous instance in Task manager. EDIT #2: It's working properly now. Thanks!
  2. I'm using v11.38 Professional, first time using it since I upgraded in April. When I split a video file, I'm getting the result as shown in this screenshot. The audio remains, but the video is gone. Not sure what I'm doing wrong?
  3. I do understand it is very old but since the pandemic started I just don't have the $$ to upgrade. I'm only now just starting to come back financially and there are more important things to use my bank account for at this time. Having said that, that OneDrive link also updated me to 11. I guess I'll have to use it unregistered for now. EDIT: Actually just saw the Quarterly plan for the Master's Edition. I can do that. Not a fan of subscription models but I'll give it a try.
  4. I just used that link and it still downloaded version 11.x. I need version 6.10. Is there ANYwhere online I can get it? Every site that says they have 6.10, it turns out to be 11. I cannot afford to upgrade at this time, and need to use my licensed version of VideoPad. It almost seems as if the installation is streamed from the server, no matter which version of the installer one uses, to try forcing users to upgrade. That's unfair and a bit deceitful.
  5. I'm able to make the video track fade out, but the audio doesn't fade with it. So figured out how to make the audio fade as well, but both audio and video aren't fading together. I set both to 15 second fadeouts, but the audio starts fading before the video? What am I doing wrong?
  6. Clearing cache didn't work. I'm wondering if it has something to do with how I created the project. I used a video made with Snagit (screen capture software), then unlinked the audio from it, and used a different audio file. It works perfectly within VP, then breaks when exported to MP4 and MPG. It does work with MOV, though. I did this same procedure with another project a couple weeks ago it worked fine with MP4, which is what confuses me. In the meantime, I'll try the upgrade, and if all else fails I'll share the project to see if anyone can figure it out.
  7. I have 6.32, and it's impossible for me to upgrade until I have money to do so. I'll try the OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files next time I have VP open. Thanks.
  8. I've been exporting to MP4 forever with no problems, then suddenly tonight it doesn't work. There is video but no sound. BUT... When I export to MPG there is sound but no video. How can I resolve this?
  9. I'd like to take some of the the audio from the middle of the video, and copy it to the end during the closing credits. Is it possible to do this?
  10. I was looking at upgrade pricing, and it lists a Home version and a Masters version. My version says it's Professional. Was Professional renamed to Masters, or is it discontinued?
  11. Hi everyone, a video I made has sound on my laptop and phones, but when I uploaded it to Facebook there was no sound. I checked the Volume button and it was not X'd out, but I fiddled with it anyway, but no go. Any idea what happened and how to fix? Thanks!
  12. Thanks. First chance I get I'll do that.
  13. I took a video from my phone, which is in MP4 format, edited it in VideoPad, and exported it as MP4, but there is now no audio. I played it with both VLC and Windows Media Player, but no audio anywhere. Video only. When I export the edited video as WMV it's perfect on all players, but audio ONLY on my phone - no video. It needs to be on my phone but it only accepts MP4 for both audio and video to work. I even used the Export Wizard and set it to export for Android devices, but no go. Suggestions to make MP$ work properly?
  14. So... there is no visual after clicking APPLY? I want to adjust the sound as the clip plays, until I get it the way I want it, then save it. Are you saying that I need to move the sliders to a config that I hope will sound good, then click APPLY, then listen to see if it's good? And if not, do it all over again? EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. Run the video, open EQ to make changes, click APPLY, the video continues with the changes applied. No need to stop the video or reset the EQ, etc. It's all good.
