  1. Elk, I followed the steps you outlined. Thank you for taking the time to help me with this, unfortunately, it gave me the same results as I have been getting. Here is the information you asked me about...and more. The error message that comes up reads: "MixPad was unable to install the sample kit." The title of the error message is: "Unable to download" Just before this error message comes up, there is a message that says something to the effect that it is: "downloading the files" and there is a progress bar at the bottom of this message that seems to indicate that a download has started. However with a second or so it is covered up by that error message and everything stops. I am running Windows 10 - 64 with the most current update and I have Chrome installed but I also tried to use Edge and the results were the same. (I did attempt, with my WavePad program, to "download from Sound Factory". The "Loading Sounds" message comes up reading: "Connecting to Server..." it is immediately obscured by the next message labeled: "Connection Failure", it says, "Could not connect to server. Please check your internet connection and try again.") I have tried using the newest WavePad trial with the same results. Thank you!
  2. I have tried 3 different MixPad versions (up to 5.53 and a new version as a "trial version") and none of them can download the offered drum samples. I sent in a Tech question using the website but as usual, in my experience at least, no response since I submitted it 5 days ago. I have uninstalled it choosing to also delete the database. Nothing seems to help. Any advice?
  3. When I load the program everything works great except when I want to record a guitar part I find that I can't control the input level using MixPad. I end up adjusting the output of the Lexicon Alpha USB interface that I am using to make it work. I am using Windows 10-64 Plenty of processor speed and RAM. I have uninstalled and reinstalled MixPad a couple of times and nothing changes. I can use the Cubase recording software that came with the Alpha and it works correctly. The problem is that the MixPad program is just so much better that I won't use the Cubase mixer. MixPad"s GUI is in a different League than Cubase. Cubase came with the Asio driver and it works for Cubase. MixPad comes with ASIO based drivers and they seem to be working. UPDATE from my 10-1018 post...I installed MixPad's DEBUG version and sent the data to NCH. AND I...Switched to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo GEN 2 with new ASIO-based drivers etc. Now MixPad doesn't see it at all. Windows sees it. I can get the input from the SOLO to play through my speakers. I even installed Windows 8 Pro 32-bit on another drive...same problem. I am going to install it on my laptop and see what happens. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
  4. I am relatively new to MixPad. A friend whom I am recording with has MixPad and I bring home copies of our day's music to work on parts etc. When I load the program everything works great. When I want to add a guitar part I find that I can't control the input level using MixPad. I end up adjusting the output of the Lexicon Alpha that I am using to make it work. When I am recording the track I can't hear it but as soon as I play it back, there it is, loud and clear. MixPad comes with ASIO based drivers and they ARE active. Anyway, if anyone can help, I hope I have left enough information to start with.
