  1. This is a known bug with v6.20, so we've taken it off the server. Right now the version on the website is 6.10. Like Borate suggested, give that a try. The export should be fine there.
  2. We have confirmed this as an issue with the recently released 6.20 version. We're working on fixing it ASAP. My guess is that Borate and Nat have actually been using 6.20 beta, which probably doesn't have the same issue.
  3. Could be related to this: It is a lengthy thread to read, but there is a fix described.
  4. New version is in release testing right now. Hopefully should be available in a week or two.
  5. Facebook has deprecated the API that we needed for uploading images and video. Unfortunately there's nothing we can really do about this.
  6. Hi Nat, Not sure what you mean there. "But still.....Why, when the trim is done from the clip in the bin and the the result is placed, does the clip in the bin retain the trim but when trimmed from the timeline it doesn't?" If I understand you correctly, I think you answered your own question a little earlier: "The bin clip stays "complete" so it can be reused if necessary. That's fine but....... " If you trim the clip from the timeline, it shouldn't affect the clip in the bin. A track clip can be thought of as an instance of a bin clip and shouldn't affect the original. I think you're right in saying that the Trim buttons disappearing isn't ideal; they are more important than some of the other buttons that disappear later. As we just saw, this behaviour can even confuse an experienced VideoPad user. We'll think about how we can fix this.
  7. Reproduced on development version. Filed this as a bug.
  8. Sounds like you want a Snapshot. The Snapshot option is in one of many places, and it may be named differently depending on what version of VideoPad you are using. See my comment in the following thread:
  9. Borate, when you say 'menu bar' do you mean the tabbed toolbar? Assuming yes, the Clip Preview window automatically resizes when you switch to the Home tab or Clip tab. Which would explain why sometimes you see the Trim buttons and sometimes you don't.
  10. In Nat's above images, it seems that the window has been resized quite small. We know this because some of the buttons have been collapsed into one button. I think he'll see the Trim buttons if he resizes his clip preview window or maximizes VideoPad. The bin clip preview has a 3D Options button which takes up a lot of space, whereas the track clip bin preview doesn't. Probably a bug, don't see any reason why the track clip preview shouldn't have this button as well. We can also look into resizing the 3D Options button as well.
  11. Hi Nat, What version of VideoPad are you using? On v6.10, I can see the buttons regardless of whether I am previewing a clip in the bin or a clip on the timeline. Borate, what happens when you click on a track clip and then switch to the Clip Preview tab? I imagine you would be able to see the two buttons.
  12. Yes, you may have to right-click and snapshot, if the Snapshot button is not there. You can also access snapshot through the green file menu. In v6.10 you can try one of the following: Clip -> Player -> Snapshot Sequence -> Player -> Snapshot Clip -> Take Snapshot of Clip Sequence -> Take Snapshot of Sequence
  13. Still likely some bug in VideoPad, so thank you for bringing it to our attention. Looks like Borate has re-encoded or converted the video for you.
  14. So you put a file into VideoPad, export it as MP4, and put it back into VideoPad again? Is this when the issue occurs, or can it happen with a file that wasn't exported with VideoPad?
  15. If it's urgent, you should probably try converting the file into a different format and see if it works with VideoPad. I got your file to play perfectly within VideoPad by converting it to .mkv. To be clear, is it only this specific file that causes problems or does it happen to all MP4s that you export from VideoPad?
  16. Are you using the transition simply named 'Fade'? Try Cross Fade and see if it's closer to what you want.
  17. Could you link an example of what you mean? A video would be best.
  18. I sent a message to Vimeo tech support a month ago asking about subtitle formatting, and this is the response: "At the moment, there is no functionality to adjust colour or alignment of captions on Vimeo." Regardless, support for WebVTT subtitles has been implemented in VideoPad and is currently in testing. Hopefully you can use VTT after v6.01
  19. Version 6.1 is the version where the light theme was phased out. Try 6.0, if you really want the light theme. 50/50 chance still applies.
