  1. I am still have a problem with inaudible recordings so I cannot transcribe. The transcriptions come to me by MP3. I am not computer savvy . I have used the Express Scribe Professional version 5.35 since 2016 and have never had a problem. I don't know whether it is a problem with the software or the footpedal. Can anyone please help. It may be that I need an update but when I try to instal it, I get a message saying "Do I really want to to do this. If so save the old version". Then I am lost.

    Express Scribe Software I am having trouble transcribing because of problems hearing the dictation which is send to me via MP3 by e-mail. I have used the software for about two years or so and this problem has only arisen in the last couple of weeks. I have downloaded the Special Audio processed for background noise and enhanced volume but they don't seem to have improved the software. Any suggestions anyone. I am not particularly savvy about these things so a response in a form suitable for a "dummy" would be appreciated.
  3. I have been using the software on an almost daily basis. I was using it earlier on today and everything was fine. I had a 5 minute break and when I came back I had the following error message "Please check that your audio hardware is functioning correctly and that Options-Playback-Sound Device has been correctly configured. Don't have a clue what this means. It just stopped working after a 5 minute break after weeks/months of working perfectly well. Can anyone help.
