    Where are my converted files?

When your dictation is loaded, Express Scribe will run the speech engine in the background. When complete, it will "paste" the text into the Notes box. Please note that the "Speech to Text" process will only happen when a dictation is first loaded. If you run Express Scribe with an already loaded dictation the recognition process will not run.

    Struggling with Hot key timecoding

Standard keyboard shortcuts can normally only be used when the application window has focus. System-wide hot-keys, on the other hand, can be used when you are working in another application, or even when the application is minimized. Note: System-wide hot-keys take precedence over standard keyboard shortcuts. In other words, if a key is configured as both a standard keyboard shortcut and a system-wide hot-key, then only the hot-key command will be run when the key is pressed. From the Hot-Keys tab of Options you can: Enable system-wide hot-keys: Tick the checkbox to enable hot-keys. Disable system-wide hot-keys if they are not needed and / or they are interfering with the operation of other programs. Add: Click the Add button to create and add a new hot-key. This will open the Add New Hot-Key dialog. Change: Click the Change button to modify the selected existing hot-key in the list. This will opens the Change Hot-Key Command dialog. Delete: Click the Delete button to delete the selected existing hot-key(s) in the list. Set defaults: Reset all hot-keys to the default configuration. (Not available in all applications.) In order to "timestamp" part of the file: Open the Notes menu in the menu bar Select Insert Select Time Please note: The shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + T ***If you still have doubts, open a support ticket at https://www.nch.com.au/support/supportcontact.html?software=Scribe&support

Recorded video does not have sound. WIN10 ~ Vs 5.1.1

In the Options of Debut go to the 'Devices' tab and confirm that "Capture Sound" is enabled. Also ensure that the Sound Device selected is your computer's sound card, and the Input Channel is "Windows Record Mixer". Click on the "Open Windows Record Mixer" button to open the Recording Control window. Make sure the correct output is selected. Stereo Mix (or Wave Out Mix) should be the one you select if available. If using another capture device, select the sound device associated with that capture card. Also check that the volume slider for that output in the Recording Control window is set to an acceptable level. Open the Windows Volume Control mixer by clicking the loudspeaker icon on the computer's system tray, and check to see that your selected device is not muted.

The Credit Card Gateways tab of the Options dialog is where credit card payments are configured, so that you can accept credit card payments from customers using Copper Point of Sale Software. Credit card gateways can virtually take the place of physical credit card swipe machines and process your customer's payments securely. A list of the available credit card gateways appears on this tab. If you do not see any gateways, click the Update List button to refresh the list. By updating the list, you will see credit card gateways that have been tested with Copper Point of Sale Software. To configure settings for a gateway, select it from the list so that its name is highlighted, and click the Options button. To enable a credit card gateway for charging customers, check the box to the left of its name. Only one credit card gateway can be selected at a time. Note that if you do not enable a gateway by checking its box, credit card charging with Copper Point of Sale Software will not be possible.
