Kimmikins

Hi! This is my first time on the forum and I need your help! Occasionally, immediately after I've recorded a track, when I play it back the audio is extremely fast, as if I've put an effect on it to quadruple the speed. Is this a defect in the software? Does this happen to anyone else? I record tracks for a radio station and this is very frustrating, not to mention time consuming when I have to re-record everthing.
