  1. Problem solved. For information, after editing the sequence you have to close down and reopen as an ongoing project.
  2. I wanted to sort out the video appearance of a sequence I'd put together. When I clicked on the top line video effects, I couldn't then access the saturation and contrast controls. The appropriate box appeared but I couldn't select the changes I wanted to make.

    New audio

Sorry for jumping the gun, but I found the solution. By right clicking the audio track it is possible to unlink the audio track and cut it. I was then able to add the new track.

    New audio

I couldn't find any reference to this problem on search function nor on the questions, so here goes. I have a video clip and want to put a new piece of music on it. HOW? Every time I tried putting the new track on it, the old one would always take over. All I want to do is remove the original track to put the new one in.
  5. Thanks ever so. Now makes a lot more sense (especially when I amended file names to show that I had put a clip into the working file).
  6. I have been pondering over 'Einstein's reply (for which I thank you), and forgive me if I seem a bit dim, but when I have saved my work in progress, are the individual files that I have added still 'connected' to the larger file until the completed work is finally coded. This might sound a bit stupid, but I do have a unique way of looking at things. Thank you in anticipation.
  7. Curiouser and curiouser said Alice. I 'recut' the suspect clip (it's an excerpt from a longer piece) and hey presto, all seems to be well. I saved it in my clip bank for this project and the 'work in progress' loaded. I would still like to know why this might have happened.
  8. I am currently working on a compilation video of bits from youtube (strictly for my own use of course) where I add clips every couple of days or so. When I tried to access my 'work in progress' it said that one of the files couldn't be found (the current penultimate clip), although it worked fine the last time accessed my project. HELP please.
  9. Thank you for that. I have done it. Just for reference what sort of time am I looking at for a 90 minute video on a 4Gb machine and a 1Tb hard drive?
  10. I have just started saving my first video project (I'm a relative new comer) and decided to go with the highest resolution, until I realised just how long it would take. So, I restarted at a lower resolution (1920-1080) but even this is a long haul. As I am unable to be at my computer to stop it going to sleep I am wondering just how I save over such a long period. Sorry if this question seems a bit dim, but I am new to Video Pad.
